It's me that has it now!

I must say......The fuel guage was a bit of a nightmare but it's fixed now. Checked the wiring throughout the car, fuel sender unit etc.

Turns out the soldering had come away from the main board inside the dash clocks so these have had to be reseated.

Also repaired the bodywork around the fuel tank that looked as though it had been cut with scissors!

Onto the rotten exhaust next! Getting a stainless one made up for it after xmas is out of the way.

I've also replaced the boot struts that were pretty much useless and replaced the cracked rear light lense.

Well done! It always seemed to work when I filled the tank right up.(once in a blue moon). Good job mate.

It was actually nothing to do with the fuel system, it was the clocks. The solder on the main board had become brittle and failed. This meant there was no electrical circuit being made so the gauge didn't work. It's been resoldered and put back together!

Not an easy fix, took a lot of effort to find the problem but definitely worth it! Fuel gauge is pretty important! ha ha
