What I don't really get is the speed limiter. Why?

Most road speeds change over distances, so setting the car to say 30 only works for a while. Set it for 30 and it has to be turned off to get to 40 again. The only use I can see is for motorways, so that you don't exceed the 70 limit. But that's covered by the cruise control anyway.

Anyone else have it? Do you use it, and how?

Just another gimmick or useful tool? Thoughts please.
If you are covering distance up a motorway and it’s lte st night etc you can set it to higher speeds to stop you drifting up and up which can be easier.

I like to have the function but would never pay to have it.

Tried it yesterday and set it at 50. It works fine, but going down hill, as speed inevitably picks up it starts pinging an alarm (seat belt gong) and is very annoying! Don't really see why anyone would pay for it!

I also have a limiter, but don't use it.

When I had a long motorway commute (in a previous car) I found cruise control wasn't very useful because of congestion, so I didn't use it. I think that I would have found the limiter very useful back then.

I miss it on my XC60, had it on my last Merc.

Used it in conjunction with the speed sign reader particularly in new places where I did not know where the cameras are. Much better than using a camera alert system.
