Thumbs up loss of power any help please

hi all just to tlt you all know i have a VOLVO 850 2.5TDI

and its developed a problem sometines it seem to go like hell when the turbo comes in and other times its very very slugish heres a list of things ive done to try and solve it i have changed ,,,E.C.U,, TURBO,,E.G.R VALVE AIRFLOW METER AND THE TO SOLENOIDS NEAR THE AIR BOX ONE GOES TO THE WASTGATE AND AIRPIPE AND THE OTHER JUST HAS 3 PIPES COMING OFF IT AND IVE ALSO CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER

i have done all these things and its still the same has anyone on here encounterd this problem or something like this help is needed thanks people

Have you changed the timing belts at all? Pump timing is critical on these engines

ye mate ive had the pump timing set with a dial gauge mate glad yours is back on the road mine is m.o.t and insured just waiting for the policy so i can tax it

The engine I took out of mine was hard to start and very sluggish, I'm torn as to weather it was a pump problem, a head gasket issue or the wrong engine code fitted, the engine had been changed at some point, so for that reason I decide to replace with a known good engine, seems to have cured my porblems, its now easy started and a flying machine

From what you've done so far, I would suggest removing the pump and having it tested, is your engine management light on? (Lambda light) Any fault codes stored?
