Guys I have painstakingly downloaded this, "checked the files", when I plug into the car nothing happens, I have then gone to media selected USB, it Then whirls for a few seconds then says " no supported files".
Am I being thick and doing something wrong? The file file I'm downloading is "new map" onto a 32 fat fit 32gb USB stick.
Does anything else have to be on the stick?

I use a clean Kingston 32Gb stick.

Updated mine the other day, its not all that 'up to date'! it didnt have the new A556 Link road, which i would have expected.

They are always 6-12 months behind Garmin. Strange really, because they both use the same HERE maps database.

Thank you NigelDay for your screen shot. I received a dongle from Volvo UK the other day with the latest map updates on it, (allegedly). They have verified that the maps on my cars system are out dated. I put it into the USB port under the centre arm rest, switched on nav and nothing came up except the sat nav screen showing the current map and vehicle location! So I have to wonder, was there anything on the dongle? Seeing your screen shot from your Mac, I have plugged the dongle into my Macbook and there does appear to be files there, but they are marked 'maplmageSPA' 001 through to 027 and are dated 21 June 2017. I have queried what has happened re plugging the dongle into the car and nothing happening and they (Volvo UK) have replied, 'can't help you any further, take the car and the dongle to your dealer'!

Which model year is your car ? There are (I think three) different 'updates' according to model year.

So you could simply download exactly the same file set as mine. I'm wondering if your dealer has supplied one of the upgrades for an earlier system.

This is my screen shot Nigel but I'm still struggling with it, still not loading, have checked the file with sensus checker all is ok but for some reason the car is not picking it up???
