Adding Air Con to a 1991 940 SE Auto
I have a really nice 1991 940 SE Auto Estate, but it doesn't have aircon. Has anyone ever added Aircon to a 940? Is it a big job? How much does it cost?

This has been covered before - not really economic if you REALLY want aircon trade it in for one with.

quite agree with something as old as your car the cost of the parts alone would be more than the cars worth, best bet as said is trade up to a modern model with air con as standard

i went down this route on my old volvo, got all the bits from salvo, however at the end of the day it was still ridiculously expensive in realation to the cars value with hindsight its just not worth spending that sort of money on a old banger

Have to agree with others on this point. Have 1995 940 Diesel Estate with Air-Con which has holed condenser. Cost of fixing even assuming the pump, seals and so on don't need to be replaced is going to cost around £350 - 400 + VAT.The few days its needed, it doesn't make economic sense of a car worth £2,000 on a good day. Your scenario seems even more clear cut!
