If you wish to work on the vehicle yourself then yes, get one with full history that a family has owned and maintained.

If you are not into home mechanics (in quite a big way) then no I can’t recommend it. Putting an xc90 into garages (even independant) you will probably spend the purchase price in maintaining and repairing it and in all liklyhood in a few months.
