Help Various Issues
I recently purchased a 2005 XC90 D5 SE which has just developed a fault.
The display is reading Engine System service Required and Engine System Service Urgent, using the Read button the error is showing 075. The emissions light comes on and then goes off. The engine sounds as if it isn't firing on all cylinders. In addition to the above fault the car also has the following errors after driving for a couple of minutes, these have only started since the above happened , Anti skid service required and Transmission service urgent, the transmission also stays in 3rd gear as if it is limp mode. Can anyone tell me what the error code 075 is ? whether they have had these symptoms before and if the other issues could be related to it. |

On starting the car the only issue that is on the display is the Engine System service Required and Engine System Service Urgent , on investigation there was a rod off what I think is the swirl pot.
Since putting the rod back into position I only have the orange warning light. I haven't taken it for a drive but hoping its fixed. What does the swirl pot do and would it cause the engine fault codes and lumpy running? |

thanks for the links :-) , so this is a common fault then. Looks like I will have to find the best way for the ball end to stay in the socket.
Its strange how everyone with this issue seems to be reporting different issues though, I hope once I do take it out again there isn't another fault. |

Did you ever get a resolution to your 2 warning messages and fault code 075? I am having the exact same problem with my 2007 Volvo XC70. I would appreciate any help you can lend so I can avoid 2 hours of diagnostic charges at the dealership.
Much appreciated. susan.h.griffin@comcast.net |
