ETM Issues Discuss issues regarding the problems with ETMs fitted to Volvo cars.

Information
  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

can someone confirm what code p1026 is please? And what it actually means?

Just had my ETM repaired and still getting this code on OBDii reader!

i have searched for the last hour and cant find anything relating to that code, it might be worth getting the codes read with volvo software and go from there, make sure u get the codes tho then post them here

I have just found this info on the internet!

OK here are the codes I came up with.
P1008/1009 = ETS light
P1019/1020 = Throttle body communication
P1021/1022 = Throttle unit
P1026/1027/1028/1031/1032/1033/1053 = throttle body internal fault
P1029/1030/1042/1043/1044/1052/1055 = accelerator pedal sensor fault



I have been back in touch with BBA-Reman today and they are going to have a look at my Throttle body again!It is awaiting collection !

That's another week of waiting around!

In the mean time I am having to go to work on my 1967 Suzuki step thru............which has only got a set of points and a throttle cable................and does 150 miles to the gallon! Starts first kick and never lets me down!



You can keep your Fly-by-wire!
