It cost £80 to have the bushes fitted for me ( I really couldn't be bothered to even try doing it for that ) and Dastardly Diesel has just posted parts and prices.

It was nice to simply drop the car off and collect it all done a little later.

Because of the bush colour you can easily see that they have in fact been fitted.

Thanks for the help.
I decided to go Meyle .
So ordered as a pair plus front and rear drop links . Which arrived today
Also purchased Volvo front discs and pads so they are to fit.
As I am grounded I have something to keep me occupied.
Thanks
Mike

My little Camp Kommandant ensures that I'm always occupied.

She never gets bored thinking of something else for me to do.😢

That's very reasonable, considering new Volvo control arms are circa £90 per side.

Default Volvo arms and new bolts

Another +1 for Volvo arms, you can get discount and we’re about £100 each including VAT I recall.
Don’t forget the new bolts for £2 each, they are stretch bolts, angle tightened and single use. The rear ones on mine kept stretching when re used but I cured it with new bolts.

Hi, yes but don't forget that was probably about 6 years ago when I had my S60 needed the bushes doing.

Probably a chunk more expensive now but the Independent that I use are superb and have never ripped me off.

I preferred the idea of keeping the original Volvo arms and essentially upgrading them with Polybushes.

I'm getting to an age where for some jobs , even though I could do them. I'm not prepared to give myself the hassle👍

I'll have to enquire as to whether my local Volvo garage polybush my control arms. I know lots of garages just want to fit new parts... 'Bolt-on' & 'bolt-off' so to speak, as its less hassle for them.
