Default C70 tail light holder

Morning all,

Wondering if someone could help me.

I am looking for tail light holder (not the actual plastic light itself but the electronic assembly that hold the brake bulbs etc) for my C70 Mk2 (Focus based).

This has rusted and the light no longer illuminate.

Would anyone know what the part number for this part is and is it interchangeable with the S40 Mk 2? I have been looking at eBay and can't seem to find any (plenty of the real light for sale but not the holder).

On another note, my C70 (2.4 non-turbo petrol) has started developing a pulsating hissing noise when engine is warm and on idle. When I remove the oil filler cap, this goes away. It is not using any oil (and oil has just been changed) - would anyone know what this could be?

Meanwhile the 240 still hasn't been MOT'd but I have bought some 940 alloys for it, ready to be MOT'd soon!

Many Thanks!

Some research had pointed to PCV /oil trap (31338685) needs changing re. the noise (bearing noise / whistling) - any idea if I can DIY this without a ramp and what would I need to remove.

Would still appreciate the help re. the tail lamp holder. Thanks!

Hi,

I would have thought that looking at the rear of C70 lights compared to S40 lights, they're a different shape so I'd think it's unlikely that the bulb holder is interchangeable.

If you struggle to find the part number you could always look for a breakers yard of a second hand C70 rear light unit and I'd of thought they'd always include the bulb holder, just take it out and swap it over?

Thanks a lot, I have tried eBay etc but no luck, I will give my local breaker a call!

I've just used Volvo Saab Breakers Ltd in Nottingham (01159 421616). Very helpful for the part I needed, ordered early enough, next day delivery too.
