Does someone else have problems with this file?
Did you read the part in the original post stating you need to rename the file .zip instead of .pdf and then unzip it? If not, you'll need to do that.

Hi everyone!

I'm doing a little bit of digging right here. First, let me introduce myself: My name's Mike, I'm from France and I've been looking for this kind of information for a long time know. No french forum dares to talk about the well feared SID803 . I've got a Citroen C4 2L HDI, PSA engine, which is the same as few Volvos'.
I've tried Getsome's method to do a DPF off, after reading my ECU. In his explanation, above, Getsome says that we have to change the 01 to 00 at the address he gives us. However, instead of having some "01", I've got some "80". I've checked on other files from other SID803 and I found the same thing!

Can anyone tell me if this is normal or not?

I'm looking forward for your answers guys. Thank you very much for reading me so far.

I'm pretty sure even though ecu and engine are the same, software is slightly different so the addresses do not match so you end up looking at the wrong byte. It hast to be 00 or 01 otherwise do not touch it. You may have luck trying to find identical string of code somwhere else in the citroen's code and try to work from there. Also if you can find the same engine without dpf you can do a comparison and find the swithces in ecu files. Also make sure you have the right part of the memory "mpc555".

And for getsome: thanks for the guide, this inspired me to get into ecu editing

What I found:

-You need winXP computer to get chinese BDM to work
-It may be better to solder a shielded 6-wire cable and run it out of the ecu to make it possible to flash it in the car (ground the shield as well!!!! to pcb mounting screw or somewhere).
-To make in car flashing possible, you can provide power through the bdm by running a wire into the ecu's pin inside the ecu. The other 12V pin is always powered while in car (from the battery). Just to make sure I power the bdm unit from car battery as well to have common + and -.
-Istalling a egr blanking plate after this it gave me egr dtc p4090 (or so) once or twice, then I disconnected the egr valve cable and has been quiet ever since. So egr can potentially be blanked without consequences.

Pictures:

Typical bdm100 pinout from russian site, russian writing are colours don't mind them. Be careful as pinout may not be the same in all units. Pay special attention to +12v (test before connecting if not sure). "PORST" = HRESET.

MPC555 debug port pinout from MPC555 manual, appears to be the same as SID803 pinout.

Hi Miksu.

Thanks for your prompt answer. Here I am, back in the beginning .

I'll try to find a file from a non-DPF version of my car (haven't checked if it exists yet...) and will compare it to mine. I had indeed worked on the MPC555 file.

Thanks again, catch you guys later to let you know.

Cheers

Here is original volvo file with dpf. You may try to look similar areas in citroens code as in volvo the switches were in couple of groups.

Also turned out the dpf already had about 25mm hole in it and it had given me an error code related to dpf once and went to limp mode. But only once and I thought it was due to blocked dpf and lots of city driving. After restart and some highway it worked fine again. Of course it will still try to burn and so on, also noticed some increase in oil level due to diesel, but at least it worked. Now I removed everything inside the filter of course.

I've just finished editing and reflashing my ecu. Took me a while but I had five good reads of the ecu and 4 identical reads of the MPC555. I quadruple checked everything and flashed the new dpf free version.

However when I re-installed it in the car it is still in limp mode. Any ideas?

It's the weekend now so I'll see if I can get the car to someone with dice on monday to see if I need to clear the fault codes first???

Can I just ask, Why ? What exactly does this do ? Probably get shot down here, but I disagree with removing anti pollution devices, I prefer driving a diesel that doesn't chuff like a train.
