This is what it turned out to be, must get it fixed now!

HI

Did you find the rattle? My newly aquired C30 2L has a small buzzy rattle ar low speeds. Sounds like it is behind the dash but suspect the Alarm LED housing.

Anyone know if the housing can jsut pop out? it seems to have very slight play when touched.

mine too, it sounds like its in the steering column or directly in front of wheel. It's super annoying... gonna check the mirror housing and the A pillar trim. My suspicion is a wire or clip under the steering, in the dash.... hassle :-(

Update. My rattle has turned out to be the air vent pipes above the drivers footwell. The end of them just barely touches the edge of the cut outs on the lower dash trim. When they warm up/move they buzz and vibrate against the dash trim. Im going to add a piece of sticky foam to their edge to resolve it. Hope this helps someone took me weeks to figure out what was buzzing!!!!! so pleased!
