Default C70 drivers door airbag

Hi
I need to replace the window regulator on my 2006 C70 and need to disable the drivers door curtain airbag before I start removing the door panel. I Had this done by a garage last time the door mechanism broke on me which cost me over £250 to get fixed. The value of the car doesnt really justify this cost now so Having a go myself this time as ive done similar jobs on other cars. Is it as simple as just disconnecting the battery?

I've had the same issue with my 2008 C70. From memory VIDA says disconnect the battery and leave at least 15 minutes before disconnecting the airbag. Again from memory, this is suppose to allow time to dissipate any charge that could set it off.

Yes, that's what I did when changing my C70 door lock.

yep. Disconnect battery, wait 15 minutes or so.

You'll need to disconnect the airbag connector as part of the process of removing the door panel.

Do make sure you reconnect the airbag before reconnecting the battery otherwise you'll get an SRS code that can only be cleared using VIDA.
