Default Outside temp reading

Noticed today my outside temperature reading is wrong on the dash.
Quite comfortably in the 20’s all day today yet my clocks seem to think it’s only 6 degrees out?
Anyone else has this issue?
2008 v50 by the way.

A similar thing happen on V70s. It's either corrosion on the connections inside the door or the actual temperature sensor in the side mirror that fails on a V70. I'm guessing that the V50 has a similar setup in which case that's where I'd be looking to start with.

Best thing to start with is give the connector in the passenger door a good wiggle as this controls all the electrics for the passenger side of the car + temp unit.

If it's consistently reading incorrectly then you'll have to get a new temp sensor. It's located in the passenger side mirror and is a door card off jobby.

Part is around £15 from Volvo if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the replies.
I’ll check out the wiring behind the passenger door card tomorrow.
I have a sensor under both wind mirrors, I’m guessing the offside one is a blank?
