Hi. Im having difficulty with ignition sometimes takes several turns of key before car will start. Is it possible SCU. Issue
Any suggestions ?

Replace SCU.

but seriously, yes - you wouldnt be first with this problem, pretty common and to my knowledge, the only way to confirm the issue is to change SCU and see if it works. If I remember correctly it can be swapped from another car without any re-coding.

Do you get a message saying "KEY ERROR TRY AGAIN" ?

I had this 2 years ago and some research pulled up an american post where someone placed the key in the ignition as normal and then gave the back of the key a couple of sharp sympathetic 'taps' with a small hammer to seat the connector a bit better. Worked for me fine!

Obvs tap the key in a straight linear motion 'into' the keyhole.

I did this three years ago never had a problem since
