Satnav postcode search

Hi all,

Just trying to find out if anyone with a factory satnav in their car has postcode search? Been reading in the XC90 forum that it is supported, but every picture I’ve seen of an xc90 satnav of a similar age has a different interface.
I’m on the latest 2015 maps and 1405 firmware.

If yours supports it, can you post your firmware version please?

I'm probably wrong as allways but I remember reading on here that if you go to the 'destination' field and the go left or right I can't remember which the 'post code field' appears.

I have just been through all this and unbelievably yes it is there (Swissxc showed me on here).

Go to destination, scroll down to city and then there will be a box in the top right corner which offers postcode.

Yes, Volvo well cocked up on this one...

There isn't (well not on mine)! It was your thread in the 90 section that led me to posting this. The V70/S60 have the older mmm DVD only satnav unit, although the interface looks different on the XC90 and I'm confused!

Eoh apologies, I am on the 2012 xc90 which is still.

Swissxc seems to know a great deal about nav, perhaps pm him?

After all the bother with tappety noises, I feel as you are now stressing over satnav problems when you probably have a phone equipped with google maps, Volvo life is generally treating you well now! 😁😄

Yeah, cars running great now. Not stressing over it, just wondering. Actually quite like the built in nav - loads better than the rubbish built into my work 2016 transit!

Been wondering if I should change the car, as other than a broken seam on the seat, there’s nothing left to fix! (joke)
