I use 2011A with no problems. My mate installed 2011D (or an early 2012) and it wouldn't play with my dice unit. Suspect firmware issue.

Try and install the earlier Vida and see if it communicates with your dice?

Tried that over the weekend, still no luck - looks like it's definitely faulty

In a fit of vexation I bought another unit off Ebay, from a UK seller. Reinstalled everything using the version provided (2012A - previous version was 2011D), noting that there was an extra step in the installation for the Dice...

Having tested the new Dice successfully, I plugged in the original Dice, just on the off chance.

And it worked!

So, before I put it on Ebay, does anybody want to buy a Dice unit for what the original one cost me, 85 quid? I know they can probably be had cheaper from China but this one is definitely working (as it turns out). I'm happy to help the buyer with the potential nightmare of setting it up.

I am interested in your spare DICE if still available.

When it's connected to either USB or the car the USB com status light blinks blue briefly and the Firmware status and Vehicle interface status lights show steady blue. Any insight appreciated as my other option is to hope that it is actually faulty and return it to China!
Hey Carlos,

I am having the exact same problem you did with your suspected faulty unit, except mine was bought from a UK seller who's been as helpful as he can, and has excellent feedback. He told me he tested the unit before sending it out but I cannot get it to commuincate with my car or do a firmware update - exactly same as yours was, 2 blue lights, USB Flashes etc. The seller has offered a full refund if I can't get it working but, to be honest, I'd rather have a working unit. Can't believe that bloody little SRS light could cause so much hassle !

My Vida is 2012a and the Dice Hardware is 2.2.3 / Firnware is 2.7.1.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what's the hardware / firmware on your device ?

Also, you mentioned an extra step with the Dice ? - I wonder if my installtion has skipped that ? Unfortunately I have no way of testing the software / hardware as I don't know anyone else in the
Bradford area with one.

Any help / advice / insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Garry.
