Unhappy No power, but starts/idles fine

My C70 auto has been having issues. It started with jerking/hesitating at low revs (1200/2000) when I wanted power, but I drove around that using manual to keep the revs high.

Then last weekend it just wouldn't rev at all, even in neutral. It starts and idles fines. Just won't rev past 1500.

It's got no faults, and has had a fuel filter change. EGR has been checked as well...

Oh and it seems the colder the outside temperature, the worse it is!

Any ideas?

Well it's taken 39 days to track down the issue and fix it.

Essentially the ECU in the passenger foot well had been exposed to water at some point in time and has now become really badly corroded, finally effecting the electronics!

Now replace, part was £800 from Volvo, still waiting for the final bill from the garage for the diagnostic works and fitting. I'm guessing it's going to be around £1500!

I hope they fitted the modified seal so that water ingress will no longer be a issue for you.

Sounds like it was a pretty all encompassing fault.
I'm amazed the diagnostics didn't throw up an error code and it them so long to sort it for you.
Glad you're sorted but that's quite a bill

Is this water problem V70 specific or something I should check out on my S60?

It's a C70, and apparently it wasn't the ECU. So now sending it somewhere else for a second opinion. Also have to discuss the bill with the garage, don't see why I should pay it!

To say I'm not happy would be an understatement of biblical proportions...
