Hi All,
I'm new to forums so here goes, My names Andy and i own a 2008 1.6d r design, with 65000 miles on the clock, i love the car, but recently have started getting intermittent lack of power with no mil light, the fault only seems to happen after being on full boost, eg, travelling down motorway sat doing 75mph, go to put my foot down to overtake, and....nothing, car loses power, drops down to 60mph, and lower end of boost range and turbo will kick back in and of she goes. Working for a garage i managed to get hold of a snap on obd reader, which said i had faults with dpf, egr faults and air mass fault, i replaced the dpf pressure sensor first, and blew out the lines. vehicle was ok for a few days then went again, so i then replaced the air mass sensor as there was a mist of oil in the housing, was ok for a week and went again, put code reader on again, and now i only get code P1402, which i believe is egr sticking open....so 1. has anybody else experienced this?, 2. can i just get away with stripping the egr valve and cleaning it, if that is the fault, or do i need a new egr?.

cheers
