  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Removing sump

Has anyone removed the sump on an xc90 185 d5. If so was it easy, do you really need the special removal tool volvo no 999?????.

I believe if you pour a litre of unleaded into the engine bay and drop a match in there it will have the same affect. Your car will still be fecked ;-)

They are still quiet tight even with all bolts out but it can be removed without special tool

such negativity....The head and sump are coming off, even if I have to use a can opener and an angle grinder, (the digger is on standby) ,,,, Unless I have 320 psi compression on a hot engine tomorrow.....

certain nettles must be grabbed.....
