Default Xc90 service

Hi, I have not long bought an xc90 and I decided to get it serviced as I wanted to ensure it is sound before my trip to France in a week and also it is making a tinny noise when turning right (the noise is on the left side on steering). I got it back from the garage and they said it was brakes which have been cleaned. However when I have taken it out for a spin it sounds really rough. It's vibrating things in the car which I didn't notice before and when I accelerated it didn't seem to respond in the same way as before it went in. Also the noise that it was making on the left when turning right is still there. I've taken it back in and told them it's worse than before and should find out tomorrow. I wonder if anyone here would be able to give me a heads up on what the noise is because it ain't brakes and also why it could be rougher after a service. It is an independent but I have used them for years and generally they have been very good.

So I have got my car back from the garage and they inform me that it is a bush on engine which is worn. It only happens when the engine was hot so they apparently couldn't tell until I took it back and asked for them to investigate as their original fix hadn't cured the noise. The bush is being replaced next week when the part comes in. Regarding the car running, it is better than yesterday however still seems a little out of sorts compared to how it was. I read yesterday about ecu resets if battery disconnected and I know it was disconnected for some work I asked to be carried out. The ecu has to relearn settings for air fuel etc and so this can make it seem a little rough for a while whilst it relearns. Is this correct and how many miles does this take?
