Xc90 t6 gearbox oil level ?
Hi all ,
I'm wondering the correct procedure to check gearbox oil levels cold and hot ? My owners manual doesn't give much info I'm afraid , It's on the dipstick there is 3 lines , single dash line on the lowest point then the upper 2 lines have dots that indicate and arrow maybe pointing upto the top line and down to the below line wondering where it should be before I can try and drive her after changing the oil and filters Thanks in advance |

Full line when cold will be the lower (between hot and the single dash)
ATF should be checked when hot really to give a true indication. I've always been taught: Get it warm by going for a drive for 20-30 minutes or so Park on level ground. With the engine still running, cycle through all the selector positions, stopping for a few seconds in each, through P,R,N,D,N,R,P. Still with the engine running, pull the dipstick, wipe, reinsert and pull again to check the level. Should be near enough at the full mark.
