Default S80 Turn Signal (Indicator) not working

Help,

My S80's indicators and hi beams stopped working. It was hell driving back in rush hour here in LA.

1. Hazard lights work (i.e, all turn signal bulbs work)

2. Hi beam on bulbs looks ok

3. Fuse 21 is ok, i replaced the fuse with new one, and no change

4. I pushed all fuses in (to ensure there was no loose contact)

Like many S80 owners, I've endured many issues with this car over the years and would like to avoid an expensive dealor visit if possible

Thanks

sounds similar to a problem I had on my 1999 S80 - other things had stopped working as well, eg cruise control. Fixed by disconnecting battery for 10 mins which helps reset relevant control module.

The link helped me..

Basically remove fuse 22 and reinsert it, done.

However this is one of the "Buggiest" cars i've ever owned.

Load of little issues, that are not real electro mechanical problems but rather software assumptions.

cheers

that's good, but be careful, you can trigger a SRS warning that will require a dealer to reset.

It was fuse #23 for me which had blown.

My s80 is playing up , the centre triangle light on , the engine management light was on originally , I put a tester on it ( must have had the ignition off while testing ) , the green light under the main plug went out and will not come back on when tester is plugged in , now the indecators remain beam headlights wont come back on , I tried taking the leads off , left them off for ages , the engine management light does not come on anymore but ( as I said ) , the indicators and head lights won't come on , I was told it was likely to be the electric modual unit ( I think it is under the drivers dash ) and I will have to get a new one and will have to get Volvo's themselves to reprogram it , please help ,
Thank you ,,,, Patrick .,,,,, By the way, it is a right hand drive vehicle.
