Default New gearbox or valve body.

having replaced the 3 main solenoids with rostra slu, slt, sls solenoids I am no better off.
Adaption reset and carry out the driving method too reset adaptions nothing has changed.every 2 miles and getting up to temperatue it throws up gearbox service reguired and goes into limp mode. turn off and reset then back into limp mode within 2 miles. I have the choices of scrapping. swap engine and gearbox from my breaker, new valve body or new gearbox. your comments most welcome.

If you click on the codes then click on View Information, it will explain the code and list the possible causes.
None of them look particularly encouraging unfortunately.

Hi.
Well I googled Volvo TCM-0002f and there is post after post on the topic.
Swapping out the g/box is the most major action and it seems may not necessarily cure the problem. It could be a simple electrical / signal glitch.
Some folk have found an earth connection joint failure in a harness. Some folk have managed to get away with several oil changes.
If it were me I`d go for the simple fixes first and if they don`t work out then do the major stuff .

Might be worth giving one or both of these a try........
Top Gear in Mountsorrel
or
Tunnis in Loughborough

Top Gear used to be B&L Automatic Transmissions and I've used them in the past for my 1999 V70 (knew the guy that was the B part of it, and Chris who was his right hand man now runs Tunnis).
