Default '92 Two-tone 480 For Sale

Hi all, I've only had my 480 since January and I've (mostly) enjoyed every minute, but current economic difficulties mean it's back to public transport for me. I bought this off a Volvo 480 forum member, and this ad is posted up on there too.

Here's the details

1.7i engine, 150k on the clock, MOT till October, Tax till July, I bought it with new head gasket and cambelt on it. Also has just had oil change + filters, new HT leads, dizzy cap + rotor arm, heater resisitor pack, also looks like a newish alternator on there.

Service history up to about 120k

Most electrics work inc info display, pop ups, windows, mirrors, sunroof. Only things I think are gone are passenger heated seat, some of the buttons on the cd player (but it still plays cds and you can tune the radio/skip tracks etc) and the rear demister is a bit rubbish. Interior is great too, nothing missing, all switchgear works fine, drivers seat is not worn, neither is steering wheel.

Bad bits: Only thing drastically wrong with the car is that it has trouble starting from cold, obviously choke is not kicking in, but after two minutes and a bit of gas the car trundles along nicely, no over-revving problems. Also, exhaust will need replacing soon (but is not terrible at the moment).

After that, some usual 480 problems, small amount of rust on the rear arches and near tailgate, water ingress into boot from right rear window (easy fix), speedo works but over-estimates speed by about 10mph (it gets more accurate the faster you go!).

I've been as accurate as I can, I don't want to mislead anyone on the forum, this isn't a mint car but it could be very good given the time. I'm open to offers, hopefully around £300, car is located in Oxford.

Cheers, PM me for pictures if you want.

Paul.
