I've recently purchased an S70 T5 (not ME7 though) and i removed my dump valve as it was actually cuasing compressor surge! Since removing it, i've not had any surging at all AND car performs better!
You can still have the 'whoosh' effect by modifying your air intake box or fitting an induction kit but with appropriate heat shields in place. Upto you at end of day....but personally...i dont rate them.

Thanks for that.
I have fitted an induction kit today with 2 cold air feed pipes,( one from behind the grill and one from under the car) There is a slight woosh noise like you said but i still like that tissssh noise from a dv. And if anyone wants to buy a crossfire im selling mine. |
