seeing as you have never owned one how can you claim to be "speaking from experiance", i can however speak from personal experiance (as opposed to what ive seen on the telly) and ive found them to be good buys for someone wuith a bit of savvy

I got one, I spoke to the mechanic/fleet manager that worked on it (I called them up). The cars are serviced every 9k, apart from this no expeense spared on parts and servicing. I spent a further 300 after I got it to sort it out (service, new brake pads etc) but still made for a cheap purchase after all. I just needed a run around so yes the spec is not great, but it is a good car.

As for the 24/7 thing, that depends on the force. Most forces in Scotland the car stays with the shift (the focus/vans etc dont, they are used 24/7) this means it does 9 hrs a day. I'm sure my car has been horsed around but at least it was by class 1 drivers and not some arse...... (mater of opinion )

Anyway it's fast and I'm happy with it.....

Hi Guys I have owned an 2002 V70 ex police car for 18mths now bought from expolicecar.com The car has been fantastic i have spent about £200 on various bits of trim for my own benefit wood door panels, roof rails, volvo stereo but as to the mechanics the car has police service history and runs perfect. The guys especcially Gareth at expolice car are more than helpful and if your thinking of getting one give these guys a look at you get a car with no roof holes and a well prepared car.
