Default 1989 5-Door 360GLT Newcastle. £450

Up for sale My 360 GLT
I hadnt planned this sale, and have recently invested heavily in improvments.

103k.
1989.
5 Door in Black.

Good Points:

TSW Black Ice 15" wheels with New 195/50/15 Continental Rubber.
Power assisted steering (fully working)
Slide and tilt sunroof (fully working)
Power Windows (fully working)
Power Mirrors (fully working)
Heated Seats.
Front Fogs.
Front Splitter.
Rear Spoiler.
Rear Wiper.
Central Locking (all bar back drivers door working)
Glt interior with seat bolsters and lumbar supports.
Origonal Volvo Radio Cassette Player
New Front Shock Absorbers.
New Rear Shock Absorbers.
New uprated -2in Front Springs.
New Strut Tops.
New Strut Top Bearings.
New Pass side headlight wiper motor.
New Arb Drop Link.
Tinted Rear Clusters ( 8) as fcuk)
New Front and back Screen Wipers.
New Oil.
Welding carried out to jacking points (still present) and one sill.
This was not done as a bodge, but with a view to bringing the car up to the highest standard possible.
Sills were then comprehensivly cavity waxed.
The money I spent at BiltHamber alone on wax, weldable primer and Hydrate8 came to over one hundred pounds. (reciept available)

What was done by chris_c recently:

Quote:
Service
Cam belt
Dashboard lamps replaced
Boot light fixed
Glovebox light fitted (was missing)
Blower fan fixed (I'm guessing the resistor pack had packed up at some point, as it was removed and the standard "connect the wires to position 3" bodge done, this has been fixed)

Not long after I got her, I got bored of LE jet being useless, so went on a mission to try and find out why (the standard 360GLT being rough as hell for the first 30 secs on a cold start, and as normal was undrivable until it sorted itself out). So, I stripped out the LE Jet kit, original plan was to fit LH from a late 2.0 240, so that it'd have lambda and closed loop EFI. I then remembered (was prodded/kicked etc by several people...) that this was supposed to be a temporary daily, and I wasn't supposed to be playing with it, and changing flywheels technically counted as fiddling .

So, I cleaned up all the electronic parts, checked all parts were within Green Book tolerances, replaced and overhauled those that weren't and put it all back together. Injectors were flow tested and spray pattern tested, and cleaned so that they are all even again. New o-rings etc put on. She does run a hell of a lot better for it, and is drivable as soon as the engine is running. I'm trying to avoid the cliche of "it pulls much more strongly", but fuel consumption has got a lot better. I havn't driven a better LE jet car I know I'm not going to get back the FI refurb costs, but it makes the car really really nice to drive.
All of which is honest and all of which I concur with.

Now,
Bad points (and theres a few if youre picky):

Paint laquer is peeling in a few places. (Car looks great from 20 yards, but is not going to drop ay jaws on close inspection)
Dent In bonnet.
Dent in Rear quarter pannel.
Dent in Rear Bumper.
Nick on pass side wheel arch.
Drivers side rear passenger central locking not opperating (motor?).
Few stone chips.
^^^ none of that occured under my possession mind!

I never intended for this car to 'look good'. my intention was that it would run good and surprise a few Chavs, and be a lot of fun and very comfortable to drive.
ALL of which has been accomplished.

Pics:

The dust on the back bumper in the pics shown is from being in industrial unit.
I can give the car a good wash and take more pics if anyone would like.

All questions welcome.
