I didn't even know I had that?
Is that the big red light on the top of the front dash that flashes sometimes. It's also made quite a loud audible warning beep/flash once. Nothing around me at the time though which confused me |

No it is at the top of the windscreen looking out the front for accidents about to happen together with a laser to measure distance . and it will stop the car before you even have time to get your foot on the brake you need to read up on it in the handbook .

City Safety uses the laser scanner only, not the camera. But this car probably has the Collision detect with full autobrake function too. That also uses the camera and the radar in the front grille.
If the camera is blocked, but there's no object in front of the camera, it could be fogged up. It should have electric window heating, like in the rear window, but that can break. |
