Default Genuine Mud Flaps

Have you tried ebay?

I bought a new pair for the rear of my V70 recently as the generic type do not fit properly.

Currently on ebay.co.uk there is a pair of used rear ones for the 740 / 760 and the listing says they ship internationally.

You might still be able to get them from Volvo. See extract from an Accessories Catalogue. Bob

Be aware that the later cars have a different types of front & rear mud flap which are common with 760 mk2, 940 and 960 mk1. Older cars have same as 760 mk1. See post #6. Change point was the face-lift in 1990.

Yes ... that's right. My Feb 1990 740 Facelift has the dealer supplied 'newer' m/flaps without 'VOLVO' 'plastered' across them .... much more 'quietly' refined!! Bob

I seem to recall in the mid-late 80s, the "trend" was to have the manufacturers name on any accessories and what would have been the chavs of the day took this to extremes.

At least you don't have the "chav-tastic" mudflaps Bob!

...... they were one (or should I say four!!) of the negotiated Dealer freebies, plus a few others but, they drew the line at the 'large' cargo area rubber lay-flat protection mat .... one of the best 'accessories' I actually 'theoretically' paid for!

The back cargo area with the seats down and, the mat out, still looks virtually new after nearly 30 years of everyday use, including trampling at a minimum for many years by four wet/dry Irish Setters. Not what could be said of the headliner (now replaced some years ago by a pristine ex- 940 one!).
