Default sensors

so along with my recent post was checking front struts

there seems to be one sensor on drivers side and no strut sensor on the passenger side

this seems to be wrong

also a non connected wire

where would i get a new /used front strut sensor(i believe them to be height
sensors) and the wiring

shame its a great car but the electronics

Hi I don't know what these sensors are , I do not have any sensors on mine,
but my car is a 2002 s60 d5, but the same shocks are used on newer models ,

those are 4-C electronically controlled suspension dampers off the V and S60R mainly what car have you got? All 4 dampers should have these with plugs into the car's loom ...

4-C struts have wires from the base of the strut and a separate accelerometer mounted on the 'wings' of the strut just below the spring seat - so from the OP's description he's probably looking at an accelerometer.

Indeed that will be it , but should the car have them I wonder ... or had the plug been torn off the one side .

You have a V70R, the previous owner replaced the 4C with standard strut but only on one side. May also look closer just in case it was involved in an accident on that side. How many miles/km on it ?

its a v70 awd R yep sensor is missing

how do i source one

or is it the dreaded volvo dealer
