Default 2,4D -2009: Ticking/rattling noice when accelerating

Hi

I have a V70 2,4D -2009 with manual gearbox, that have a strange noice when accelerating on low revs on gear 4,5 & 6.

It's like a ticking/rattling noice that appears when the engine is "working hard on low revs"

It sounds much like old petrol engines did when the timing of the ignition was wrong or if you put petrol in with low octane. Translated from swedish we call that sound "Spiking", I'm not sure if this is the correct term in english...

The car is 3,5 years old and this sound started 6 months ago. First it was very hard to hear, but i feel it gets louder avery month.

The car is in for service today, but I got the feeling that the guy that took the car did not have a clue of what was wrong with it. I bet he's going to say that there is nothing wrong with it this afternoon...

thanks
/Peter
