61 and a quarter, and on my 13th Volvo, a 97 S90 3-litre auto. Have previously owned two 244s, two 245s, a 740, a 940, a 360, three V70s, an 1800ES, plus of course the S70 we've had in the family for the last 15 years.

I've also had a Saab 9-3, a W124 Merc E-Class, a Honda Civic, a Shuttle and an Accord, and, going back, various Cortinas, Sierras and Cavaliers, a Fiesta, a Peugeot 405, a Hillman Imp, a Simca 1100, a Triumph Spitfire, a Mini Clubman, a Spartan kit car, and my first car, a Wolseley Hornet.

By far and away the best was the 1997 V70, in which I did well over 250,000 trouble-free LPG miles. The worst cars of this lot? Well the Mercedes E-Class and two of the Hondas (the Civic and the Accord) were rubbish really - nowhere near as good as you'd expect, with the Civic and it's dreadful I-Shift semi-automatic gearbox being the at the bottom of the heap.

Which ones do I wish I still owned? Well the 97 V70 for sure, plus the Mark 3 Cortina, maybe the Spitfire, definitely the 1800ES. Cars I'd like to have owned? Maybe a 240GLT, a Jaguar XJ, a Sunbeam Alpine, and perhaps a Triumph Stag, but most of all I'd still really love to own a proper old school Rolls Royce!

Knocking on the door of 62, update from post#45. Having traded the XC70, which to be honest I really did like, I've now got my backside into a MY68 V90 D5 AWD R Design, Bursting Blue. And loving it, also picked up a nice 03 reg C70 as a project/weekend toy. Wife still panics whenever we pass the local Volvo dealership and I give a glance at the V90 Ocean Race they have on the forecourt, she wants to go down the S90 route, but I do like My estates.

As old as my little finger and a little older than my teeth but I do remember the last days of post war rationing 😉
I now drive a S60 (3rd gen) T5 which sits alongside the V40 (my17 T2) belonging to my wife. The V40 being the reason why I joined the Volvo Owners family recently.
I was so impressed with that V40 that I looked at Volvo when changing cars late in 2019. One ride in an S90 and I wanted one but couldn't get one in time; one ride in the S60 and I decided I didn't need an S90.

I started owning Volvos in my late twenty with a 360 Glt great little car changed that for a 440 Xi not so great then a 940 Se auto saloon then a 940 S manual then a 2002 V70 Se D5
And my current Volvo is a 2007 V70 sport special edition D5 an absolute awesome car
Oh I'm in my early 50 s now and don't see any reason to stop owning Volvos

Just been out for a meal with friends where the conversation turned to age and the realisation I'll be 59 very soon, the V70 is still going well, wish I was aging as well.
