the prices might vary but they shouldnt do as it is a Fixed Deal From Volvo
the only real way they can Vary is if someone has made a mistake
Chances are that will get found out before the car is ordered

if you give me the Spec of the car options etc i can price it for you
Where does the 15% come from? I can't find it specified as an offer on the volvo website or publicised anywhere. I thought the example from above was a typo or something else.

Its the Offer That Volvo are doing atm

Its not publisced because its 15% off the Basic price on the XC60 so the saving changes dependant upon the model and options you order the more you spend the more you save

on other models the Saving is 20%

ie
Drive Se Lux
Basic Price £24852.61
Metallic Paint £521.74
Sub Total £25374.35
Less Volvo Allowance £3806.15
Delivery Pdi costs £452.17
Sub Total £22020.37
Vat @15% £3303.06
12 Months Rfl £150.00
First Reg Fee £55.00
Sub Total £25528.43
Less Govt Contribution (£1000.00)

Total Price to pay £24528.43

RRP otr £29595.00

Total Saving £5066.57

I hope this helps and if you want you can even order the car

The problem I have is I have a PX - either my car (An Audi A3 Sportback S Line - 05 reg - 20K mileage) or my brothers if he takes mine (Audi A3 Sportback Sport - 05 Reg - 30k+ mileage). Would you do reasonable PX's? my experience with other dealers is that they give a discount, then recuperate it via a poor PX value, or give a good PX and give a poor discount. Either way they play the numbers. Any help appreciated.

Why not just ask for a figure to change.

That way, it doesn't matter if the new car costs £30k list price and the dealer offers £25k for yours or, they discount the new car to £25k and offer £20k for yours, the cost to you, to change is the same £5k.

Obviously if you are financing through a bank you want the lowest cost to change.

Is this 15% discount only for people using the scrappage scheme or can you part exchange any car?

I ask because I have a 6 mnth old MY09 XC60 D5 SE Lux heavily spec'd, I'm wondering what with all the discounts there seem to be on new XC60s now if I could upgrade to the new engine (but otherwise same spec) for not that much money.

Have phoned a few dealers but cost to change seems to be £4.5K+ which is more than I would want to spend.
