Default Park Assist

Hi everyone!

Just picked up my new XC60 last week and having trouble with the park assist today...

Front and rear sensors were both working on Sunday, but yesterday noticed they didn’t come on. So swiped right on the centre screen to check they were ‘on’ and the green light was out.

When I press it it says in the box ‘functions only in low speeds’ for a few seconds then returns to being ‘off’.

Any suggestions?

Rung the dealer who is going to come back to me but thought I’d appeal to the community!!

Cheers

Thanks Volvo for ever.

Forgive me I’m not overly technical, where do I find the earth, and the two plugs being the battery terminals?

I was hoping there might be a software reset? The manual isn’t very helpful, just says ‘turn on the park assist’!

Thanks again!

Were they definitely not on - the new volvo park assist doesn't appear until something is within range. If you get someone to walk around the vehicle while stationary or held in reverse and they don't activate then you have an issue.

I'm not being disrespectful but some cars have front sensors but in actual there are dummy sensors are you sure you have them ?

Go to boot left hand side disconnect battery earth ,then under bonnet on passenger side there black rectangle box just behind air filter disconnect them .after 5 mins refit two plugs then battery earth..
No software reset only upgrades you'll probably find car hasn't had pds done either

Hi anotherv60,

Yes they have definitely worked because up until that point (yesterday) I had used them when pulling onto the drive and parking at the shops etc.

Yes they are definitely there because I have used them!

Ok I’ll try your suggestion then.

What is PDS?

Thanks again

I’ll ask the dealer tomorrow about pds then as well...

Will try the battery reset in the morning.
