Engine Hoist
Looking to see if anyone near to Glasgow has an engine hoist I could borrow. Obviously not at the moment given the current situation. But when things start returning to some sort of normality I need to get an engine out of my breaker and transport to my house
Many Thanks Mark

You could buy them for about £150 for a 2t or around £100 for a 1 ton on ebay. By the time you have collected it and returned it, factored in the time and fuel it may be worth buying one, doing what you want and then selling it, possibly to the person buying the engine.
I borrowed one to change the LandRover chassis, the ram sprung a leak, that cost me £50 to buy a replacement and made the job difficult trying to cope with a dropping arm untill the new ram arrived. If you really don't want to buy look at hiring one, all the big hire shops like speedy or brandon will have them for a weekly cost+ deposit. Paul. |
