Default 09 V50 stereo options

I bought an 09 V50 Drive e SE Lux at the weekend. I had hoped there would be an aux input for the stereo, but on this model it seems to be absent. Also, the CD player doesn't work.

Can anyone advise me what options I have for putting a different media player in the car. Are there any that fit with the centre console and integrate with the rest of the cars functions. Ideally I want something with a touch screen and bluetooth.

Many thanks for your help

Due to the setup, there is no off the shelf head-unit you can replace it with.

There is this - https://www.bluepower.se/en/product/...players/volvo/ - but it's not cheap.

Stereos are coded to the car so if you wanted to replace the CD changer, it would be a trip to Volvo to have it paired to your car I believe.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do with the audio system with regards to upgrades.

Pretty sure these guys can fix your CD player cheaper than a new one from Volvo...

Alpine EZI-DAB or Pure Highway could be installed using FM transmission to give you AUX-in, USB and DAB.

I have one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Transmitter...%2C150&sr=8-20 which I pair to my phone. It works ok for me.

I've also been looking into options for adding Aux in to my stereo, that doesn't have the MODE option. I wondered it it would be possible to connect a custom AUX input instead of the CD player, rather than an expensive head unit. Have yo seen anything like that?

It's all fibre networked so I doubt it. Your best bet will be either an FM transmitter, or an inline FM connector (wired FM connector). You could probably fix the CD player by keeping the electronics and swapping in a new mechanical mechanism. then no coding issues on the stereo. Lastly there is a wired in bluetooth solution by GROM. do a search. great piece of kit, but pricey
