Yeah I did clear lacquer over them, I think that was your tip then! Not heyskull or paddy, I get confused with all the V50 owners :P

Cheers!

So do you think it is safe to use a pressure washer directly on? I was going to ask the Volvo dealership to hold off using a pressure washer on the wheels when they service it next month.

Been pressure washing mine since i did mine and have had no probs. The only thing like i said that will destroy your hard work is break cleaner. I had all my wheels off the other day and gave all the calipers a good clean with wheel cleaner which is fine as won't strip the paint or decals. Take care not to leave it too long on the calipers though just in case it does eats in a bit. I do mine regular to keep the dust and grime to a minimum

.. Slightly worried, I was sorting through the rubbish from the brake job and found in the brakeline kit 2 copper crush washers that I hadn't seen before... It didn't look like the original setup used them either.

There were no specific instructions so I have no idea if they're meant for the rear or front brake lines, at the MoT today the mechanic said the brakes were absolutely fine; is this something I need to worry about and if so where do they go?

Thanks.

I've been looking and I can only find references to these crush washers being used on banjo fittings but my car just has flare fittings.. Am I right in thinking these washers aren't necessary?
