Mobility Scooter Hoists
Mobility Scooter
I have a very low mileage Van Os Zoom 4 ( 5 mph ) mobility scooter, which I bought new in July 2014, and have hardly used since purchased. One if the reasons is that even though it breaks up into 5/6 pieces, each piece is still quite heavy to lift in & out of the car, if you have no balance! Ramps tend to be a bit awkward for me, so the Zoom is 'on the market' , and I have bought a Pride Quest actual folding scooter ( Aug 2014 and also hardly used & a bargain at £420 ), which is much easier to handle/transport, and it :- a. Doesn't need breaking up, fitting nicely into the boot and b. Is very much lighter to lift in & out Then I go and damage my shoulder, and now it's become too much to lift it in & out, again! Autochair and other auto lift suppliers are very expensive, so, this pm I bought me a used external electric hoist, powered by the scooter's lithium battery, and it's ' bloody fantastic - https://youtu.be/dtC1piRM7io
