1998 V70 TDi Manual 170K
Here for sale is my V70 TDi
This car has been in my family since new and in my ownership for 7/8 years now but it's with a heavy heart I am going to part with it. The car itself is in good condition for its age, engine and gearbox are smooth with plenty of power. Good Points - -Reasonable Mileage for age (173K) -Only 2 owners both family members (myself and grandfather) -Good engine and gearbox -RonBox fitted (easily removed) -2 sets of wheels and tyres -MOT till 1st November -Recent new battery Bad Points (all have them) - -Small wobble on steering but still very drivable suspected bushes on front or wheel balance -Rear trailing arm bushed advised on last MOT -Rear exhaust hanger corroded away but have replacement -Front seats ripped slightly on base (bolsters in good condition) -Bonnet release broken, I have fashioned an alternative so can still open -Top engine mount bush split, have new one ready to fit The car has plenty of life left, but I can't justify the time to sort the minor bits out and have a new truck coming for work. I have serviced this car myself over the years, oil + filter changes etc last done at 169K Am happy to answer any questions and can provide more photos if required. Will be genuinely sad to see this go but hoping to find an enthusiastic new owner Located in South Devon, near Plymouth Looking for £600 Click for Photos |

Bodywork is in very good condition for the age. Couple of small rust patches on bottom of doors, lacquer peel on spoiler.
Can you see the photos? I'll upload some more to that album. Open to offers |

Thanks for your reply, do you know when the clutch was last changed? And has it been smoked in or used for dogs?

I don't know about the clutch, I'll have a look through the paperwork see if it's in there. Not since I've had it though, I've done 60k in it.
Never smoked in no, dogs yes but very rarely, hasn't been used as a dog bus. I'll upload these photos shortly. |

I wouldn't worry too much about the clutch if I were you.
As long as the bite is reasonable anyway. My 850TDi is on 315k and as far as I can tell is on it's original as there's no mention of it in the fastidious amount of paperwork I got with the car. Volvo clutches are renowned for lasting a long time. They used to design them to last the lifetime of the car. This was when they designed cars to last 20 years too
