Default Ohhh Heck, I've gone a got a 960......

With the demise of the 940, I seem to have been a bought a 960 instead!

I know, must be MAD, but I did promise myself one as a reward for packing in the ciggies last year, (7 months and counting), so I argue that the extra fuel will be paid for from the savings from the dreaded weed!

Dark green metallic, beige leather, ALL the toys from Air Con to Cruise Control - and EVERYTHING works! Even has the passenger airbag fitted.

Full dealer history, (cambelt done last year, etc etc), taxed and tested - paid £800......which I think not too bad. There are faults, already had to sort out new front wheels, (the existing alloys had been hand painted - yes really!!!!), and the door panels aren't the best, but it's all cosmetics. Driven it home 150 miles and it has purrrrrred all the way, I love the effortless power of the 3.0 with the slush box, reminds me of my old Daimler, and my Bentley Turbo R. I must be getting old, enjoying big ol' slushy cruisers like this!

Photo's to follow, and the 940 will be on here as a "spares or repair" ad soon, if you want a bit of a project.

In the meantime, where did I leave that petrol tanker...........??

Well I never that was quick,We only spoke about the possibility of a new one at the national and here we are celebrating your new purchase.

Any pictures yet graeme?I would love to see your face when your driving it.a smile as big as a dinner plate I bet.
A shame about the 940 as it still looks clean despite the laquer peel.Ah well always nice to treat oneself.

Well done Brian.

I went from a 940 2.3 LPT to a V90 3.0, MPG 27 vs 24 so not too big a difference.

Well done Graeme enjoy it.

Been wafting around in the big ol greenie most of today..........OMG, how lovely! Still don't care about the fuel cost, (ok, yet), it's big, smooth, green and full of leather.......it's as close to my old Bentley Turbo R, but cost me 6 grand less! I love it.

Thanks for kind comments & support guys - big test comes tomoz when Mum sees it for the first time........will it get the proper Royal Seal of Approval......????

Thing is, if she does, you may find yourself on extra chauffeur duties, leastways if your mother is anything like mine...

Ohhh yes, mother is already top of the chauffering list, and she hasn't seen the beige leather, or felt the Aircon yet!!! You are quite right, I'll never get her out of the back seat now, I know!

AND...........the mother in law is coming to visit in October......she'll set up home on the back seat at this rate!!!
