Hmm... Fancy earning a few beer tokens then and turning the tester to a little more profit??

I'd love my injectors setting up properly, but like you I'm not prepared to pay an absolute fortune for some little scrote to do them. Let's face it, it's the apprentices that sit there bench testing!

If you don't ask, you don't get!!

Lets see how these turn out. I only have one faulty the rest are fine ( I think ). I got a full set just for the hell of it and because I can. And yes I was one of those apprentices as an 18 year old in 1975 . I was indentured to BCT or Bradford City Transport the council bus company now Metro part of their apprenticeship training was a 3 month stint in the fuel injection shop.

If I'm 100% happy with the way they turn out I'll gladly lend a hand.

Steve if your taking you're injectors out you will need the correct cutaway socket otherwise you will flatten the leak off stubs against the injector due to the angle required down the side of the pump.

They do not respond kindly to being bent back and usually snap off at the base leaving you in deep you know what

That's a better one than I bought! The one I bought only had most 50% cut out which wasn't really enough. Might have to get one of them when I take mine out next!

On another note, if you do decide to do injector rebuilds for members I'd be interested!

Wink

Sadly my call out days are over. I used to get phone calls saying "do you do 24 hour call out ?" Yep 3 8 hour days. I have just bought a set of ( allegedly )
reconditioned injectors as spares so I suppose this puts me one step closer to doing an exchange service for members...maybe .
