Default Mass Airflow Sensor [Should I clean?]

I have a 2014 V40 (D4) and I have never cleaned the Mass Airflow Sensor. The car has no warning lights, and the air filter has always been changed in the service schedule.

Should I clean the MAF sensor?
Does cleaning the MAF sensor improve MPG?
Is this a good cleaner: https://www.motoelectrical.co.uk/crc...12-aa-2100052/

I always clean mine as a matter of course. Any electrical contact cleaner will do, doesn't need to be MAF cleaner specifically.

When you clean it, remove it, spray it (but don't touch it with the nozzle/dont brush etc) and let it dry for a few seconds.

After it's cleaned, start the engine with no auxiliaries (no AC or lights etc) running and leave it sitting idling for a few minutes. (This isn't strictly required on a diesel but i'd do it anyway!)
