Think a few of you may recognise this one? my new Volvo V90 cd Auto 1997
This has definitely put a big smile back on my face . took the wife for a little holiday and got a very respectable 24.2 MPG not bad for a 6 cly 3 litre petrol in fact it matched the 24.1 /24.8 combined figures issued by Volvo all of 26 yrs ago ... not bad for a car that's on 223,000 miles . no doubt there will be a few requests for help and information in the coming weeks / months . its off on tues for a new cam belt etc but that's mainly me being extra careful. also an aircon re-gas . absolute joy wafting effortlessly over the welsh mountains. ( my Volvos seem to be getting older with ever bigger engines since i retired )

There is much to be said in favour of an effortless cruiser[and it'll still lift its skirts and get a move on]that makes the fuel consumption of a more economical buzz box.that it puts a smile on your face is reward enough too. Enjoy!
