Volvo V40 D2 88kw question
Hello everyone, I'm new here so forgive me for any mistakes I make.
I plan to purchase a "new" car soon, and V40 has caught my attention. 99% of V40's here are D2, either the PSA one or the newer 88kw one (which I found out is made by Volvo) I do not have the need for a more powerful car since I will be using it to get to and from work (around 40 km round trip on a highway) and occasional travels. I found one example with the R design equipment pack, 2016 model year, with 150k kms on the clock. Price seems reasonable and the condition is okay on the pictures I still need to go and see the car in person, but I am wondering are these engines (D2, Volvo one to be precise since that is the one which is in this 2016 example) reliable and is there anything that I need to watch out for? Thanks a lot! |

I found another car with even lower mileage so I will probably be purchasing it. I've seen some horror stories about EGR valve issues on these engines, is that something that I should be afraid of? And is there anything I should look out for when inspecting the car? |
