I agree with SwissXC90 however the disks have not received an update since 2015 and I find myself driving across virtual fields a lot these days.

OK, should have made that clearer.
What I meant was, take the old nav screen out, buy a "GarTom" and put that in place of the old screen. That works really well, depending on the new nav you can also add a reverse cam to this screen and an audio mute. Updates, real-time traffic, constant power and so on, everything is there. Just one thing doesn't work: the control from the steering wheel is now only for on/off (=> means in this case nav screen up/down). But you get a touch screen for this. Or, if you wanna go that step further, you can integrate kind of a car pc. But that's a totally different question. I'm going the route with a "GarTom", that fits all my needs, it looks nice, and I get a reverse cam without much hassle. EDIT: found the link to the pdf. http://www.nasab.com/Volvo/NAV%20for%20RTI%20Volvo.pdf It's from this side: http://www.nasab.com/Volvo/tip-trick.htm

As said look for an mmm/P2001 disc. Also be aware that the original set has 3 discs, if you are buying a single disc make sure if covers the region you need. Also 2015 maps is the latest you can get.
Edit - didn’t see 2nd page when I posted, half asleep! Last edited by reggit; Jul 9th, 2019 at 10:39. |
