Got the jump leads from euro car parts not a bad price. 5 metre, 25mm squared cable for £18. Thought longer more useful.

Connected up and fired straight up. Checked inside lights and found the culprit! Boot light on, must of knocked it getting ladders/steps in/out!
Ran for 20 minutes, then disconnected the leads from the Lexus.
Battery voltage reading 13.5 volts. Switched off and voltage reading 12.4 volts. Re started and drove a circuit round the village of around 2 miles and voltage reading 13.6 volts. A bit low, expecting 14 volts plus but still charging, so probably absorbing the charge and hope the voltage will go up. Will re check in a few days after some long runs.

Thank you everyone. At the moment saved buying a battery.

James.
All good James - now do one of two things, either connect a trickle charger overnight to the Volvo or for the next 2 or 3 uses of it, jump it of the Lexus just to give the battery more of a chance to recover, even if it doesn't seem to need a jump.
