Default Disconnected Plug - V70 D5

Hi, can anybody tell me what this disconnect plug is for please? The cable seems to be hanging loose and I don't know if wasn't reconnected following some work recently done or if it's been like that for ever.

This is a bit of wider shot to try to show it's down the back of the engine, close to the turbo.

Thanks in advance.

No I idea what it does without checking Vida but there should definitely be a plug knocking around.

Wiring from mystery plug converges with the fuel pressure regulator wiring

The loom ends up on top of the engine.

Oh and change to Flickr.
It doesn't watermark over exactly the thing you are trying to show.

Can I be really thick and ask why you would need an electric heater in the oil breather to the turbo pipe please?

its only need in Scandinavia. In UK its not cold enough. It's something to do with stopping the oil vapour condensing or somethign like that I cant remember. Basically does nothing in normal climate

Whatever it is can't be that important or you'd have an Engine Service warning.
Unplug your MAF, coolant temp sensor or pretty much anything else under the bonnet and it soon throws a code.

As mentioned it is an electric heater designed to help vaporise the oil coming from the breather. Nothing to be overly concerned about

I replaced it because supposedly it is linked to errors with the vacuum and turbo in a D5 (official dealer said this, I didn't understand why) and it had oil IN the connector.

The new one had oil in the connector within 3 weeks (!!!) and another dealer denied any link between the PCV heater and the vacuum... (Obviously it changed none of my problems, just made my cash shortage a little worse...)
