Default Dog guard for MY14 version

I've just treated myself to a brand new D3 SE Lux and wondered if the metal safety grille from my 09 V70 will fit my new car. I'm guessing it will, as I don't think the body's changed much.

Also, the spec says I get a nylon protection net - is this the one you place over loose cargo or does it separate the passenger area from the boot?

Thanks!

Can't see any reason why it shouldn't fit and the nylon net should be in big metal cassettes attached to the back of the rear seats, and they can be used to seperate the boot compartment from passengers with the rear seats up or down.

Cheers - So I don't really even need the metal guard anyway? I'd feel better with it, but at least there's something there in case it doesn't fit. One of those things I forgot to check.

Yeah, pretty sue the metal one will fit.

Mesh one can be stored in the underfloor storage area - there's two slots for them to sit in.

I had no idea about the underfloor having specifically designed slots for the cassettes, so that's very handy to know! Thanks

Yeah, the tray underneath the boot has two long slots cut out, so both net rollers sit in there.

I only know as the dealer put them in there when I bought my car and opted for the metal dog guard instead. At the far end of the tray, you'll see them.

Cheers.

Depends what you need it for - the nylon mess isn't designed to stop dogs or heavy luggage from flying into the passenger compartment in the event of an accident etc.

I'm with civilservant on this. I wouldn't put much faith on the net holding much back. If you have the metal guard then use that and take the nets out completely. Thats what I did!

I'll try and fit it when I swap the cars over, and if it fits, I'm keeping it.
