Wow - what a transformation! It goes up the last bit by itself!! Must be one of the best tenners ever spent. All the people who have advised (here and in the other thread) use of a broom handle: you are right. Needless to say I ignored this wise advice and got myself one last big whack on the head! It's amazing how hard it falls when it's only got one failed strut to hold it up... what an idiot.

Did you not have about 2 feet worth of drain pipe you could have used to support it?
